BOTANICAL WATERCOLOR

Join us for an immersive workshop and discover the joy of painting flowers in watercolors. This class is designed to guide you, no matter your skill level, through the fascinating world of watercolor painting as you capture the vibrant colors and delicate textures of flowers. We will delve into the fundamental principles that form the backbone of watercolor techniques, while also introducing advanced concepts to enhance your artistic skills. Suitable for beginners through advanced.
ARTIST BIO Mary Lyn has been painting for the last 30 years. With a degree in Fine Arts, she has been exhibiting and selling her work throughout her career. Mary Lyn paints exclusively botanicals, with her inspiration mostly from working in her own garden. “I have always been especially drawn to the complexities, beauty, and specificity of flowers. No two are alike, even from the same variety.” She is currently exhibiting at the following Oregon galleries: Fairweather Gallery in Seaside, White Bird Gallery in Cannon Beach, and Alberta Street Gallery in Portland. Mary Lyn also shows at art events such as Art in the Pearl, where her work was used in their marketing campaign. She has taught for many years, first at the Mission Cultural Center in San Francisco and recently at Oregon Society of Artists. You can see her work at marylyngough.com and on artfullhome.com.
