Unleash Your Inner Vision: Exploring Abstract Art ! This class is a creative journey exploring abstract art through color, shape, form, line and texture. This will take you to your innermost feelings and mental images as you explore different types of abstracts and experimental art making. You will work at your own pace and complete two or more unique paintings. Take a creative journey beyond the ordinary to learn about you as an artist.
Demos will be done in acrylics but all paint mediums are applicable and welcome!
This class is for students of all skill levels
Artist Bio John is a native Oregonian residing in Portland. He began his interest in painting as a young teenager and is primarily a self-taught artist. He has attended and taught many workshops and demos in the Portland, OR, and Vancouver, WA, areas, and has taken part in art shows and event. His continued enjoyment of his art keeps him striving towards the future.
SUPPLY LIST
- Canvases 16” X 20” or smaller
- Paints – you can choose to work in acrylics, watercolors, or oils; so bring your favorite paints.
- Brushes
- Water container
- Palette
- Pencil
- Straight edges: a ruler, a T-square, and a 45° triangle ruler
- Palette knife
- Old credit card
- Items that can make an imprint or marks in paint (for ex., coins, odd shape items, sticks, bottle caps, etc.)
