Class Description. Do you find yourself overwhelmed when looking at a landscape scene,
wondering where to start, how to describe details close up and far away, and how to use your brush?
This series is designed for all students of all levels to learn the basics of painting forests, meadows,
and other landscapes. You can then use these basics to create rich and layered nature paintings,
either en plein air or in your studio. This class will cover color-mixing, brushwork, perspective issues,
block-ins, and detail work. Following the instructor’s demos, you’ll work on your own paintings.
These techniques are specific to acrylic and oil painting, you may choose to work in either. If you are
a beginner, I highly recommend you work with acrylics because the medium used in the demos.
